Our Journey of Faith
The story of the Halifax Bible Believers Fellowship is a profound testament to faith, perseverance, and divine guidance. Rooted in biblical truth, it exemplifies how sometimes the paths we resist are precisely those we are called to follow. Just as biblical figures like Jonah, Moses, and Paul grappled with God’s will, so too did the founders of this fellowship experience challenges that ultimately led to spiritual growth and community building.
Pastor Raphael Tizora, the fellowship’s elder, arrived in the United Kingdom in 2003 for family reasons. Previously a ministering Head Deacon in Zimbabwe, he had no initial plans to minister in the UK. However, a deep, unconscious faith stirred him to visit Christian friends in West Yorkshire, where he formed bonds with Brothers Zava and Taruvinga. These visits sparked prayerful fellowship and, in December 2005, led to the birth of the Halifax Bible Believers Fellowship with the first formal service held that day.
Initially, the fellowship gathered once a month, despite the logistical challenges of Brother Tizora’s long journey from Kent to Halifax. As the congregation grew, service frequency increased to fortnightly and then weekly. The fellowship outgrew informal house meetings, necessitating larger worship spaces and greater commitment. Throughout this period, Brother Tizora sought divine confirmation, ultimately receiving spiritual clarity and resolve during a service in London in 2007, inspiring him to fully embrace his calling.
By 2009, Pastor Tizora and his family relocated to West Yorkshire, strengthening the fellowship and introducing midweek services. The Halifax Bible Believers Fellowship’s journey underscores the power of faith, prayer, and unity. Their seventh anniversary in 2013 marked not just a milestone but a celebration of God’s faithfulness and the collective dedication of its members to serve and glorify the Lord.
On the the 12th June 2020 the Halifax Bible Believers Fellowship joyously entered a new era, transitioning from rented spaces to their own fully-purchased church building in Halifax City Centre. Church Dedication was in August 2021 following extensive renovations, this significant milestone provided ample room for growth, with the main auditorium seating 450, the fellowship hall accommodating another 300, the current teenagers Sunday School balcony seats 100, creating an ideal worship environment. Grateful for this blessing, the Fellowship welcomed believers from far and wide to celebrate this momentous occasion. Since then, the church has thrived under divine providence, an upcoming back balcony will seat 180, becoming a welcoming and inclusive haven for all seeking spiritual connection and fellowship.
This narrative invites reflection on the importance of obedience and trust in God’s timing, reminding believers that through challenges and doubts, divine purpose prevails and communities are built to honour Him.

Our Beliefs
The 20th Century Prophet
Our Lord Jesus Christ is the entire focus of our lives. we believe the Lord Jesus revealed to us that He had sent a prophet in this end time in order to fulfil many Scriptures in the Bible, including Malachi 4:5-6, Luke 17:30, Revelation 10:7, and Matthew 17:11. The prophet’s name is William Marrion Branham.
William Marrion Branham was one of the most influential Bible ministers of our time. He was considered by many to be the initiator of the healing and charismatic revival that began in 1947, and from his ministry there sprang a myriad of other ministers who became internationally known.
One historian stated that William Branham was a prophet to our generation, and a Pentecostal historian wrote that he filled the largest stadiums and meeting halls in the world. The Full Gospel Men’s Voice issue of February 1961 noted that none in the sacred records had a greater ministry than William Branham, who was used by God in the Name of Jesus to raise the dead.
From 1947 until his passing in 1965, the ministry of William Branham was parallelled by few in history. On June 11, 1933, while baptising in the Ohio River, a bright fiery light appeared and a voice declaring him as a forerunner to Christ's second coming was heard, an incident later reported by local news.
The supernatural was evident throughout the thirty-three-year ministry of William Branham as a prophet. He accurately told details of diseases and secrets of hearts in healing lines. It became clear that he was ordained to fulfil scriptural prophecies concerning the end time, moving meetings to large auditoriums to accommodate the masses.
We believe God reveals mysteries to His servants as declared in Amos 3:7 and Revelation 10:7. Christ declared that Elijah must first come to restore all things, fulfilling the prophecy of Malachi 4:5-6 to turn hearts back before the great day of the Lord, as Jesus also spoke regarding John the Baptist and a future forerunner.
The Message which God sent through the ministry of William Branham covered every major Christian Doctrine. The sincere Bible Believer will experience depths of Truth and have many questions answered as they listen to or read the messages which he brought to the church.
The Blessed Hope
To the millions of Believers around the world who have heard and received the Message which God has sent through His prophet, William Branham, the Word of God has opened up as never before in history. Jesus Christ, who is the Word, has come into plain view through the pages of revealed scripture. God bless all who hunger and thirst after righteousness.
The High Calling
“If God has called you to be really like Jesus Christ in all your spirit, He will draw you into a life of crucifixion and humility: and put on you such demands of obedience, that He will not allow you to follow other Christians, and in many ways He will seem to let other good people do things which He will not let you do.
Other Christians and ministers who seem very religious and useful may push themselves, pull wires, and work schemes to carry out their plans, but you cannot do it: and if you attempt it, you will meet with such failure and rebuke from the Lord as to make you sorely penitent, Others can brag on themselves, on their work, on their success, on their writings, but the Holy Spirit will not allow you to do any such thing, and if you begin it He will lead you into some deep mortification that will make you despise yourself and all your good works.
Others will be allowed to succeed in making great sums of money, or having a legacy left to them or in having luxuries, but God may supply you daily, because He wants you to have something far better than gold, and that is a helpless dependence on Him, that He may have the privilege of providing your needs day by day out of the unseen treasury.
The Lord may let others be honoured and put forward, and keep you hid away in obscurity, because He wants to produce some choice, fragrant fruit for His coming glory, which can only be produced in the shade. God will let others be great, but keep you small, He will make you work and toil on without knowing how much you are doing: and then to make your work still more precious, He will let others get the credit for the work which you have done, and this will make your reward ten times greater when Jesus comes.
The Holy Spirit will put a strict watch on you, with a jealous love, and ‘will rebuke you for little words and feelings or for wasting your time, which other Christians never seem distressed over. So make up your mind that God is an infinite Sovereign, and has a right to do as He pleases with His own and He will not explain to you a thousand things which may puzzle your reason in His dealing with you. God will take you at your word, and if you absolutely sell yourself to be His slave He will wrap you up in a jealous love, and let other people say and do many things that you cannot do or say.
Settle it forever that you are to deal directly with the Holy Spirit, and that He is to have the privilege of tying your tongue or chaining your hand, or closing your eyes, in ways that others are not dealt with. Now when you are so possessed with the Living God that you are, in your sacred heart, pleased and delighted over this peculiar personal, private jealous guardianship and management of the Holy Spirit over your life, you will have found the vestibule of Heaven." - William Marrion Branham
